If you are unable to meet your counsellor face-to-face, you can opt to have counselling sessions online through Skype. Though our professionals are discreet and kind, still, some clients may feel apprehensive about physically attending a counselling session. Therefore, we offer online therapy in the comfort of your familiar environment as a reassuring option. We are keeping pace with the developments of the technological world – and thus are happy to make our services more accessible to a larger group of individuals.
Our online therapy allows you to receive therapy sessions from where you are with a licensed and professional counsellor. As a result you will learn new ways to manage emotional distress.
It is most noteworthy to mention that research on video conferencing psychotherapy (VCP) by Dr. Autumn Backhaus and her associates concluded that this form of counselling has high user satisfaction and similar clinical outcomes as traditional face to face psychotherapy. Therefore, there is nothing to stop you from seeking skype counselling if that is what you are comfortable with.
We have a team of counsellors with a wide range of credentials, and we will assist you in choosing the right therapist to meet your needs. Our Counsellors who perform E-counselling are equally as committed to working with you online as they are with the patients they see in person. The usual rules of confidentiality apply to a one-to-one therapy session.
Payment for our sessions is through Paypal.
We do not offer Skype counselling for clients who may be at risk of suicide, homicide, other acute crisis, or have serious mental health issues. We recommend your GP as the first point of contact in these cases.
Skype is a free software platform that enables 1-to-1 communication between people who have the software installed and have set up accounts. You can download Skype here.
